We want to introduce ourselves and let you know a little bit about us.
We have been married 51 years and have two great sons, Shane and Keith. Shane and his wife, Dydra live in Lewisville and their sons are Tristan and Travis. Keith and his wife Natalie have a son, Chase, and daughter, Ava. They live in Morganton, NC.
Camey and I have lived in Yadkinville & Winston Salem NC, Charleston & Myrtle Beach SC, and now live in Clemmons, NC. We continue to be members of Center United Methodist Church in Yadkinville, NC.
Camey retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and enjoys being full time with our Yadkin Tours business. Camey has strong organizational skills and has helped in many ways chairing committees and organizing travel plans for students, faculty, staff at schools plus church groups, ladies groups and businesses.
Jim worked thirty-four years in the retail industry as a buyer, merchandiser, store manager of Thalhimers at Thruway Shopping Center in Winston Salem and was the Divisional Vice President of Human Resources with Brendle's in Elkin. Positions such as these taught him the true value of good customer service. In 1996 Brendle's began closing stores and eventually closed the business. Among my many responsibilities at Brendle's was the logistics of planning management seminars, which included travel, lodging, meals and entertainment.
These experiences have helped us to form our own family business for 20 years of providing tours and transportation for Yadkin, Davie, Surry, Forsyth, and surrounding counties.
We thoroughly enjoy researching and organizing trips. We focus on two main objectives, which are to provide first-rate customer service and to give you an excellent value for your travel dollars. The travel industry requires deadlines and we must book and make deposits up to 12 months in advance to be able to provide good seats and lodging. Avoid missing out by calling us to book early and ensure that your travel plans are confirmed.
When you have traveled with us, please let us know how we are doing. We always appreciate your comments and ideas to enhance our trips.
Safe & Happy Travels,
Jim & Camey Whitaker
