Dear Travelers:
We want to introduce
ourselves and let you know a little bit
about us. Soon we will be starting our
10th year in the tour business and we've
made a lot of new friends.
We have been married thirty-five
years and have two great sons, Shane and Keith, and
wonderful daughter-in-laws, Brandy and Natalie.
Shane and Brandy have a son, Tristan and live in
East Bend, NC. Keith and Natalie have a son,
Chase, and daughter, Ava. They live in
Morganton, NC.
Camey and I have lived in
Yadkinville & Winston Salem NC, Charleston & Myrtle
Beach SC, and now live in Clemmons, NC. We
continue to be members of Center United Methodist
Church in Yadkinville, NC.
Camey worked
in orthodontic dentistry for
eleven years prior to going
to the school system where
she has been for twenty-two
years. She has worked
at Yadkinville Elementary &
Forbush High School in
Yadkin County, Career Center
in Winston Salem, and is
presently the Data Manager
at West Forsyth High School
in Clemmons, NC. Camey
has strong organizational
skills and has helped in
many ways chairing
committees and organizing
travel plans for the
students and chaperones at
those schools.
I worked
thirty-four years in the
retail industry as a buyer,
merchandiser, store manager
of Thalhimers at Thruway
Shopping Center in Winston
Salem and was the Divisional
Vice President of Human
Resources with Brendle's in
Elkin. Positions such
as these taught me the true
value of good customer
service. In 1996
Brendle's began closing
stores and eventually closed
the business. I was
laid off along with over
2,000 other employees.
Among my many
responsibilities at
Brendle's was the logistics
of planning management
seminars, which included
travel, lodging, meals and
entertainment.
These
experiences have helped us
to form our own family
business of providing tours
and transportation for
Yadkin, Davie, Surry, and
Forsyth counties.
We thoroughly enjoy researching and
organizing trips. We focus on two main
objectives, which are to provide first-rate customer
service and to give you an excellent value for your
travel dollars. The travel industry requires
deadlines and we must book and make deposits up to
12 months in advance to be able to provide good
seats and lodging. Avoid missing out by
calling us to book early and ensure that your travel
plans are confirmed.
When you have traveled with us,
please let us know how we are doing. We always
appreciate your comments and ideas to enhance our
trips.
Sincerely,
Jim & Camey Whitaker
